Making of Ill Manors

In the making of Ill manors the director showed me what I had already suspected. The film was designed to be hard-hitting and the director wanted people to question themselves. In addition, as he grew up in a similar area to the one the film was set.It would be fair to say that he has a clear vision and knew how to fulfil it. Furthermore, I also think that this offers an alternative viewpoint of youth and it offers some kind of explanation to people. The director wanted people to question their opinion of the youth and he wanted to do this by offering an explanation from his characters.

We also learnt that this film was extremely hard to film. The actors were all amateur and hardly any of them received training. The locations were all real, the crack den could be an example of this. In addition, the film was also hard to film as people would recognize the people in the film and they'd approach them. Furthermore, the amateur   actors needed more reassurance from the director and they also found it more of a struggle. The director also played a part emotionally and ensured that the people had the confidence to act in this film.

I think that the majority of the target audience are youth and they would range between 16-30. The majority of these people would've grown up in a estate or knew somebody who did. These are the people who would watch this show for entertainment purposes. Another target audience for this film would be 20-40 year old people. These people would fit in to the Reformers of the world. These people would be seeking a explanation for the riots. They would be Middle-class.

I don't think that the film has set out what it wanted to achieve. I think that it allowed people to have further evidence of what is wrong with working class people and allowed more people to gather this view. I think that it has an  false and largely untrue  story line and it showed all of the pre-existing stereotypes to help them sell this story. However, I do think that the director has created a hard-hitting film and that it does make people think and generate emotion for people. Overall, I don't think that Plan B has met what he has wanted to achieve, but he has been effective in creating a hard- hitting, thought- proving film.
